Senior Monday Shopping Day
Seniors 65 years or older, and those with special needs, have an opportunity to shop for their groceries each Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This time has been specifically set-aside for seniors and those with special needs so that they can shop in a safe environment.
Each Monday, this weekly event includes lunch, bingo, arts and crafts, educational sessions, and birthday/holiday parties, all of which are free.
These seniors, referred to as CCA Golden Angels, are extremely low-income and cannot afford the luxury of these activities. Besides the opportunity to shop, this program also provides the socialization, and companionship that everyone should be able to enjoy, despite financial limitations.
