COVID-19 Update

Help us as we help you and our community

Each day, CCA creates an atmosphere of hope for the lost, lonely, and broken. Because of COVID-19, we have taken the necessary steps to be as safe as possible and to continue to meet the needs of the families and individuals who need assistance during this time.

The health and safety of our employees, clients, partners and volunteers is our top priority during this time. CCA is taking every precaution and has put together preventive actions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). We are closely monitoring and preparing for possible scenarios to ensure we have the right plans and resources in place to make informed decisions.

With the closings of restaurants, retailers, and other service-oriented businesses, many people in our community have seen a significant reduction in income or job loss. This will impact CCA, as we experiencing an increase in the number of families who are requesting help for rental, utility, and food assistance.

We are grateful to the businesses and organizations who have contacted us asking how they can help CCA. If you’d like to help us during this time, check out our opportunities for volunteering or how you can donate financially.

Below are a few steps CCA is taking to ensure the safety of our employees, volunteers, and clients.

Family Assistance

Family Services implemented the following steps:

You may apply for assistance online without coming to CCA. For questions, please contact familyservices@ccahelps.org.

To minimize contact, we are handling all financial requests via an online application process located at https://ccahelps.org/gethelp/. Due to the increased demand for food and financial assistance for rent and utilities, please allow 3-5 business days for Family Services to contact you. Thank you for your patience as we continue to serve families during this unprecedented time.

Food Pantry

With more and more people being impacted every day, CCA is committed to continue providing healthy groceries and meals to people struggling in our community. We changed our food distribution method to a drive-through (and delivery to our senior Golden Angels) but we haven't changed our purpose of providing food to those families and individuals in need, especially during COVID-19. You may apply online without coming to CCA. For questions, please contact info@ccahelps.org.

If you have an emergency food need, please call 972-219-4346 or email info@ccahelps.org.

Life Skills and Counseling

Life Skills Programs: CCA has moved classes and counseling to online platforms. Apply for assistance online without coming to CCA. For questions, contact familyservices@ccahelps.org.

Golden Angels Senior Program

Prior to COVID-19, each Monday morning, CCA had over 100 seniors who gathered for food, fun, and fellowship. Due to the pandemic, CCA is delivering groceries and healthy meals to our seniors, who we affectionally call our Golden Angels. CCA has suspended the senior fellowship gatherings until further notice.
