Bringing Hope & Changing Lives.
“Families in poverty were the first ones affected by the pandemic and will be the last ones to recover from it.” Those words came from a speaker I heard at a conference recently, and every day at Christian Community Action, we see the need. Families continue to hurt for resources. Single moms continue to look for ways to remain in their homes and avoid eviction. Children continue to be hungry. Senior adults continue to need weekly groceries.
The need hasn’t slowed down. It could be a mom dealing with domestic violence, juggling to care for her children while trying to keep a job that doesn’t pay enough for her family’s basic needs. Or a family whose father was recently diagnosed with cancer and the mother is working part-time but the reality of how to pay next month’s rent is hitting them. Or the woman who was unexpectedly furloughed from her job and used up her savings and now needs financial help for rent and food.
These are but a few of the thousands of families CCA has provided for in the recent months; we continue to see the need. It hasn’t slowed down.
Poverty and the need for help continue to face us as an organization and as a community. Will you consider giving financially to support these families? You can click on the button below or go online at ccahelps.org/give to donate today.
Thank you to those of you who are Good Samaritan monthly givers; we count on your gift year-round. And, thanks to the new donors and volunteers who have joined us. We’re grateful for everyone’s support.
Together, we can be the good neighbors who show mercy to those hurting right now.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
