The board and staff of Christian Community Action (CCA) are concerned for the safety, health and well- being of the Texans being impacted by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath. We ask you to join with us in praying for the safety of the people of coastal Texas and the first responders and others helping carry out the rescue effort at this time.
Due to the historic nature of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey, CCA is seeking to find ways to work with organizations and agencies with expertise in responding to natural disasters.
These organizations and agencies will likely need various resources to respond and care for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Financial support is easily the most beneficial as organizations can convert money into meeting whatever is the immediate need of those harmed by the storm. In-kind donations, that is, items that will support the victims such as food, water, clothing, and other material needs will arise once transportation routes reopen to the affected areas. Eventually the time will come for volunteer involvement, people being able to give of themselves to rebuild that which has been damaged and destroyed.
CCA can currently (and we will update the list as we engage with other relief groups) recommend the following organizations:

World Vision is a Christian ministry that provides help all over the world and nationally in the United States. CCA has offered to support their Grand Prairie Warehouse as it provides rescue and relief supplies to people impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
