Help us as we help you and our community!
Each day, CCA creates an atmosphere and environment of hope for the lost, lonely, and broken. With that being said, we wanted to share with you some steps that we are taken in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
As the situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we want to reiterate that the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners, volunteers, and communities is our top priority. CCA is taking every precaution and putting preventive actions in place as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). We are closely monitoring and preparing for all the possible scenarios and ensuring we have the right plans and resources in place to make informed decisions.
With the closings of restaurants, retailers, and other service-oriented businesses, many people in our community will see a significant reduction in income or job loss. This will impact CCA, as we expect to see an increase in clients needing rental, utility, and food assistance.
We are grateful to the businesses and organizations who have reached out to us during the past week asking us how you can help CCA. We are encouraged to see most of the school districts in our service area providing and distributing meals to students. CCA has put together a list of these districts and the meal distribution locations, and we are providing this list to our clients.
To put your mind at ease, here are a few steps CCA is taking to ensure the safety of our employees, volunteers, and clients.
Effective Monday, March 23, CCA will be limiting the number of outside visitors and guests in our facilities. Our outer doors will remain locked and only staff, volunteers, and deliveries will be permitted inside the building. The Food Pantry hours will remain unchanged during the week of March 23, and will be following the process below effective March 30
Effective March 23, 2020, CCA will no longer be conducting in-person visits with our clients. Clients will be able to apply for assistance online or via phone at 972-219-4305.
During the week of March 23, our normal hours and shopping process will remain unchanged. Beginning Monday, March 30, CCA will be implementing a drive-up distribution only to create a safer environment for staff, volunteers, and our clients. Staff and volunteers will be delivering boxed groceries to clients as they remain in their cars.
Golden Angels – Senior Program:
Each Monday morning, CCA has over 100 Seniors who gather for food, fun, and fellowship. Effective Monday, March 23 and continuing through April 6, 2020, CCA will begin delivering groceries and lunch to seniors. We are highly encouraging them to stay at home, and to let us bring their groceries and lunch to them. CCA will suspend the senior fellowship gatherings beginning March 23 through April 6.
Life Skills Programs: Effective immediately, CCA has cancelled all non-essential classes through April 6, including our ESL and GED classes. The class materials for our budgeting classes will be distributed to the clients in these classes.
CCA Clay Shoot
Our Clay Shoot Tourney, scheduled for April 23, 2020, has been postponed.
