Help Provide Children With Food This Summer!
For some children in Denton County, the summer break is no fun.
For some children in Denton County, the summer break means going hungry.
Almost 29,000 children in our county are food insecure per the Feeding America website, and it’s in those children’s lives where you and I can make a difference this summer.
CCA’s Kids Eat Free program is providing more than 40,000 healthy meals to children who would normally rely on food from their schools. Our volunteers make sure that meals are delivered to the children’s homes every week.
At one location last summer, volunteers said they saw mothers with tears in their eyes when they saw the food for their children. They expressed their gratitude, telling our volunteers how much this means to their families.
It’s these type of moments that make our combined efforts of contributions and volunteerism all worthwhile, knowing that children are cared for.
Every $60 you donate helps provide 20 children with healthy food for the summer.
Nutrition becomes an issue during the summer months for families. Studies link food insecurity among children with health problems and behavioral issues.
Help provide healthy meals for children this summer. The impact you make is tremendous and makes a huge difference in their lives.
Our Kids Eat Free program is one of our many programs designed to alleviate suffering, bring hope and change lives. Over 500 children depend on these summer meals so that they won’t go hungry.
And thanks to area churches, we also deliver meals for the weekend, along with education materials, activities and devotionals. Consider a gift of $60 today to provide meals to 20 children this summer.
Thank you for helping to feed children this summer.
