Honoring Moms Everywhere Today!
Moms are special people and today, we celebrate them! Happy Mother’s Day to moms everywhere!
At Christian Community Action (CCA), we celebrate mothers and their love for their children. They make it possible for their children to have a roof over their heads, food on their tables, clothes, school supplies, and all that’s necessary to be successful. We especially celebrate single moms, who juggle work, children and the challenges of life.
Through the first four months of 2022, CCA has provided financial assistance for rent and utilities and weekly groceries to 223 households led by single moms, representing 493 children.
When you contribute to CCA, you are assisting families, some of whom are led by single moms.
Single moms like Francisca, who is doing everything she can to better the life of her children. She’s attending CCA’s Faith & Finance and English as Second Language classes, plus she has a full-time job.
“I want to learn as much as I can,” she said. “I want a better life for my children.”
Or the mom whose email to us translates to restored hope.
“I just want to take the time to say thank you CCA! I have had many days with my 3 children where I felt alone and no one to turn to. You have not just helped us keep a roof over our head, but you’ve been an Angel to me. There have been times I’ve been crying, feeling lost with no plan and I’d call you just to vent. You would listen and give me courage and understanding and uplift my spirits.
“I have no family to turn to but you and CCA are what a family would feel like. Not once have you made me feel uncomfortable or degrading. I’m a college graduate and the pandemic put me below my living status. I became depressed and lost.
“Today I’m happy and have learned to cope because I know now I have someone to turn to. You all are AMAZING. You’re my Angel!!!”
Or the mom of an 11-year-old boy who was diagnosed with cancer. She’s juggled missing hours at work and caring for her son, especially when he had chemotherapy treatments.
Your contributions have helped her with her rent and utility payments. She’s thankful, and we are all praying with her for the health of her son. Her can-do spirit encourages us all.
We are grateful that together, we can make life better for moms and their children.
We salute our moms, and we pray for single moms everywhere.
God bless,

P.S. In honor of your mom, consider making a contribution to CCA today. Thank you.
