Hopeful Hearts 5K | 1M Stampede
Our emotions were stirred by the performances of Olympic athletes in August. You may have even been inspired to start a workout regime of your own to find the Olympic athlete in you.
Athlete or not, CCA has the event for you – our sole fundraiser of the year: The Hopeful Hearts 5K | 1M Stampede on September 25th as part of Lewisville’s Western Days celebration. Some of you will blaze the relatively flat course; others will casually trot the Old Town neighborhood route and others will enjoy conversing with your friends as you walk.
One a few weeks left to sign up. So, click here and come join me and three-time Super Bowl champion Tony Tolbert, former Dallas Cowboy.
You’ll not only enjoy a gathering of faithful CCA friends, but you’ll also be helping us raise money to help families who are hurting; families who are in crisis and need help with their rent, utilities, and/or groceries.
One such family thanked us for the help we provided. “When my husband lost his job things became very tight, and a friend mentioned CCA to me, and that they might be able to help until we get back on our feet. CCA has been a life saver for us. We can’t express how grateful we are for everything you’ve done for us.
Or the single mom of three, whose commercial driving business declined due to the pandemic. She describes herself as a “very independent, self-sufficient and career driven,” but she’s thankful for the financial assistance CCA provided for rent and utilities and back-to-school supplies for her children. She’s also attending our budgeting classes.
There are many more stories of CCA helping families piece their lives back together and bringing hope to the hopeless.
I hope to see you on September 25th at the Hopeful Hearts 5K | 1M Stampede. If you can’t join us, consider a financial gift to CCA. Together we can bring hope and change lives.
