Restore a Glimmer of Hope
Lately, it feels like nothing is certain. We are all facing challenges, but for families whose budgets are stretched to the breaking point along with the cost of everyday items increasing, it is not just a challenge, it’s a crisis.
You can help. We are aiming to raise $150,000 by April 30 to provide financial assistance to keep people in their homes, food on their tables, and spiritual counseling to the people in our communities who need it most – join us with a gift today.
Closer to home, in Denton County over 90,000 people are considered food insecure by Feeding America, the national organization of food banks across the U.S. That number is larger than the population of Flower Mound and about twice more than the population of The Colony.
In Denton County, almost 30,000 children are considered food insecure, meaning they don’t know where their next meal will come from. That’s especially true in the summer months when children are out of school.
There is restored hope in a young mother who CCA recently helped…
“I just want to take the time to say thank you CCA! I have had many days with my 3 children where I felt alone and no one to turn to. You have not just helped us keep a roof over our head, but you’ve been an Angel to me. There have been times I’ve been crying, feeling lost with no plan and I’d call you just to vent. You would listen and give me courage and understanding and uplift my spirits.
“I have no family to turn to but you and CCA are what a family would feel like. Not once have you made me feel uncomfortable or degrading. I’m a college graduate and the pandemic put me below my living status. I became depressed and lost.
“Today I’m happy and have learned to cope because I know now I have someone to turn to. You all are AMAZING. You’re my Angel!!!”
Consider making a gift today to assist families like this young mother and restore a glimmer of hope.
