You Can Help Feed Our Neighbors
Have you ever been hungry?
In Denton County, 90,000 people are food insecure, meaning they don’t know where their next meal will come from.
As the cost of everything surges, more of our neighbors are turning to Christian Community Action’s Food Pantry for weekly groceries. And as we face an increased need, CCA is having to pay more for food to supplement donations.

Families are being squeezed by higher costs. Parents are juggling to pay the light bill or fill the tank with gas to go to work – all which lessens the amount a family has to spend at the grocery store.
As a result, donations are needed more now than ever.
“Your food pantry has helped me feed my kids,” said Annamae, a single mom who lives in Lewisville.
“Your food pantry has helped us make ends meet during this time,” said Phyllis, a mom who visits the Food Pantry every week.
For nearly 500 families – and growing – who come to the Food Pantry weekly, there is a great need. And every week, CCA is there to meet that need.
Your contribution will continue to meet the needs of families like these two.
The CCA Food Pantry does more than provide food for families. It provides a time for families to gather around the dinner table – just like the rest of us enjoy – and catch up on the day’s events.
It provides parents with the comfort of knowing they will be able to stretch dollars to make ends meet.
“It scares me to death that I might not have enough food for the family. I keep thinking, ‘Am I going to have enough money to pay my bills or buy groceries, or anything else,’” said Lauren, another mom who comes to the Pantry every week.
Every contribution is appreciated, whether it’s food or a monetary donation. However, we can take the monetary donations and stretch your dollar even further because we purchase food in bulk.
Please consider a contribution today to help feed families.
